What is Akasha?
Let Go of Limitations, Embrace the Freedom
Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “ether” or “space” — the limitless element that connects with everything and holds all others, maintaining the potential for creation, release and subtle transformation. At Adiyogam, this divine capacity becomes a lasting experience.
Held at the serene Adiyogam School in Arambol, North Goa, this 5-day retreat combines the playfulness of Aerial Yoga with trauma-informed somatic practices, Sound Healing, Ice Plunges and deep rest. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or just beginning, Akasha is designed to meet you exactly where you are.
"We invite you to reconnect with this unreserved energy — releasing physical tension, emotional weight, and mental noise. Step into a conscious reservoir of regeneration."

Core Practice
Aerial Yoga — Elevate Your Practice
Experience the joy of defying gravity. Sense the liberation of Aerial Yoga, where traditional asanas are performed using hammocks to support and deepen your practice. The anti-gravity yoga helps you to move beyond the mat — literally and metaphorically.
- Each inversion posture decompresses the spine and calms the mind
- Suspended asanas awaken core strength and foster inner courage
- Safe, guided progression — accessible for complete beginners
- Iyengar-inspired alignment principles applied throughout
Deep Restoration
Suspended Restorative & Yoga Nidra
Relax fully in gravity-supported stillness. Let gravity support you while your mind journeys into the soul-enriching deep state of yogic sleep, healing and restoration. This unique blend allows your nervous system to reset, your breath to deepen and your energy to rebalance.
- Chronic tension unwinds as the body surrenders to complete support
- Deep emotional healing becomes accessible in this state
- The hammock encourages introspection and self-compassion
- Powerful sense of inner peace and nervous system reset
Somatic Healing
Sound Healing in Hammocks
Immerse yourself in the soulful vibrations of sound healing while being gently suspended in a hammock. Healing vibrations ripple through your body while in a self-aware yoga asana. This unique blend of sound therapy and suspension generates deep relaxation and emotional release.
- Singing bowls, gongs and mantra create immersive sonic environments
- State of deep relaxation and clarity emerges naturally
- Opens energetic channels and helps release stored emotional blocks
- Parasympathetic nervous system activation — deep calm
Strength & Conditioning
Mudgar Strength Training
Explore ancient Indian strength training to support aerial endurance. Guided by qualified instructors, build strength using traditional wooden clubs. Mudgar practice builds grip, upgrades core strength and promotes stability and body awareness — essential for aerial yoga movements.
- Strengthens wrists, forearms and shoulders for aerial practice
- Builds bilateral coordination and proprioception in the hammock
- Improves focus and mental discipline — a powerful practice companion
- Rooted in traditional Indian warrior training heritage
Mental Resilience
Ice Plunge Experience
Exposure to cold isn’t just a thrilling experience — it’s a wake-up call to your primal intelligence. Challenge your limits with guided ice plunge sessions that ignite blood circulation, reduce inflammation, awaken clarity and build mental resilience to meet the discomforts of life with calm.
- Guided breathwork and teacher support throughout every session
- Reduces inflammation and boosts circulation naturally
- Sense of empowerment, deep calm and renewed energy after each plunge
- Teaches nervous system control — invaluable for aerial confidence
Daily Practice
Integration Tools & Free Bicycles
Your transformation continues with daily guided journaling, intention setting and heart-opening sharing circles. Reflection prompts, mindful rituals and optional group sharing ensure insights are not fleeting — they become part of your evolving self-awareness. Plus, explore Arambol freely with complimentary bicycles.
- Daily guided journaling and intention setting with yoga masters
- Heart-opening sharing circles for community connection

Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking. Still have questions? We respond within 24 hours.
Who is the 50 Hour Aerial Yoga TTC for?
The program is designed for yoga practitioners (beginner to intermediate level), certified yoga teachers seeking CE hours, fitness coaches and movement artists. No prior aerial experience is required — genuine interest in yoga and movement is the only prerequisite.
What certification do I receive upon completion?
Graduates receive a 50 Hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training certificate recognized by Yoga Alliance as YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) hours. This is accepted globally as CE hours by registered RYT 200 and RYT 500 teachers.
Is prior aerial experience required to join?
No. The program is designed for beginners through intermediate practitioners. Our progressive curriculum starts from foundational aerial concepts and builds systematically toward advanced flows and teaching skills. You will be in the hammock from day one.
What is the difference between aerial yoga and regular yoga?
Aerial yoga uses a silk fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling to support and enhance traditional yoga postures. The hammock enables deeper stretches, safer inversions, spinal decompression and creative sequencing that is not possible on a mat alone. At Adiyogam it is grounded in Iyengar alignment philosophy.
Do I need to be flexible or strong to start aerial yoga?
Neither extreme flexibility nor exceptional strength is required. The hammock supports and assists the body in ways that make many asanas accessible to practitioners who find them challenging on the ground. Strength and flexibility develop naturally through the program.
What is included in the program fee?
All fees include accommodation (as per room type), three freshly prepared sattvic meals daily, all course materials and handouts, hammock and equipment access throughout, Mudgar training, guided ice bath sessions and your YACEP Yoga Alliance certification.
How can I continue learning after the training?
Adiyogam graduates join our alumni network — a community of certified aerial yoga teachers worldwide. You will have access to continued learning sessions, advanced workshops, career guidance and a network of fellow practitioners to support your teaching journey.
